Zinc Deficiency
When plants are zinc‑deficient, symptoms typically appear on young leaves and include interveinal chlorosis, reduced leaf size, shortened internodes, and a rosetted or bunchy growth habit, often accompanied by overall stunting. Zinc deficiency is commonly confused with iron or manganese deficiencies, which also cause interveinal chlorosis on young foliage, but zinc deficiency is more likely to produce small leaves and shortened internodes rather than uniform leaf yellowing or speckling.
